Bubba McCoy and Dusty "Six-Shooter" Callahan, a pair of small-town Texas CPAs, decided to swap their spreadsheets for an adventure in Arizona. As the warm desert air filled their lungs, Bubba and Dusty eagerly discussed the teams, strategizing over their unique strengths and weaknesses. Their passionate conversations would soon culminate in the most comprehensive USFL positional rankings, reshaping the way fans viewed the league.
Quarterback Rankings (By Dusty)
Y’all best keep yer eyes on J’Mar Smith and Case Cookus, partners! These cowpokes had a rip-roarin’ time in the 2022 USFL kickoff season, and I reckon they’ll keep up the good work. J’Mar’s got a leg up, seein’ as his match-up’s a might bit easier. Now, things get hairier past them top two gunslingers, but New Orleans and Houston’s team totals are lookin’ sharp. That means ol’ Bethel-Thompson and Bahar oughta ride high on the scoreboard, too!
1. J'Mar Smith - Birmingham
2. Case Cookus - Philadelphia
3. McLeod Bethel-Thompson - New Orleans
4. Kenji Bahar - Houston
5. Josh Love - Michigan
6. Ryan Willis - Memphis
7. De'Andre Johnson - New Jersey
8. James Morgan - Pittsburgh
Running Back Rankings (By Dusty)
Well, y'all, it's a bit tough callin' it this early in the season, but I reckon Reggie Corbin's gonna have the best week 1, 'specially after notchin' up 5.5 yards per carry last season in 2022. Next up's Alex Collins, a USFL newbie, but he did rustle up close to 2,000 yards in his 5 NFL seasons. Now, 3rd, 4th, and 5th spots are taken by Victor, Colburn, and Thompson, all fellas who did right well in the USFL in 2022, and ain't no reason to doubt they'll keep it up this year as startin' players. My order's based on their last year's performance and who they're facin' in week 1. One more thing, y'all – Trey Williams is a fella I'm likin' too, but even though I reckon New Jersey's gonna run the ball more'n any other team this year, I still think Darius Victor (sittin' pretty at number 3) will hog most of the carries.
1. Reggie Corbin - Michigan
2. Alex Collins - Memphis
3. Darius Victor - New Jersey
4. Matt Colburn - Philadelphia

At number one, we got ol' Jonathan 'Jay' Adams, flyin' high like a Texas star at night. Marlon "Big Rig" Williams is ridin' into spot two, and quick-as-lightnin' Derrick Dillon's at three.
Now, folks, I gotta say, I'm likin' Teo Redding at number nine. He's a Houston Gambler, just like yours truly! Ain't nothin' like rootin' for a fella from your own stompin' grounds, am I right?
And let's not forget number 15, ol' Joe "Sidewinder" Walker. He zigzags down the field like a rattlesnake on the hunt, keepin' defenders on their toes. We got ourselves a real rodeo with this bunch, so y'all better saddle up and enjoy the show!
